Sometimes I wake up, look out my window, and see pretty things like this.
Or this (a rainbow!)
This night I had some friends over for a mexican dinner at my flat. Left to right: Rene, Joanna (Kiwi's), Susan, and Sara (California's). Not shown is Jessica from Canada.
Sara and the grub... burritos and enchiladas, baby!
Sara makes muffins, and Jo washes dishes. How nice! Well, now you know what a bit more of my flat looks like. We also watched Moulin Rouge that night.
Scary, eh? No, really, so I went to this Bride and Groom show, accompanied by Diane, held next-door at the Ellerslie race course (to get ideas for my sister) and ended up getting mascara put on. Ooo lala!
One of my favorite scenes walking from Uni into the city.
It's fall time here! This is at Uni.
I took a day out to have some Rest in this beautiful domain near Mission Bay. I sat on a blanket and just about fell asleep!
Here's looking up the hill from where I was sitting.
You guessed it- I couldn't help but snap this shot of a traveling Superloo!
Mom! This is for you... look at that cool vegetation.
Me and some of the planetarium crew. The two people on the right, Tom and Melanie, are both presenters and have given me most of my training. Angela, my boss, does not like being in pictures, so she is the one taking this picture.
Here are some students from the US with the Ambassador (I'm sure you can spot him.)
The Bruce Murray singers (my choir) as of two years ago. There are a bit more of us now, and we have other costumes besides these.
Once a semester, everyone on the UC Education Abroad Program gets taken out on a FANCY dinner for free. Here we are at the Italian restaurant named Da Vinci's. Ivan O'Reilly, shown, here is our EAP Liason officer in NZ. He's a Kiwi, math lecturer at University of Auckland and takes good care of us.
We are all from California! Yeehaw!
My church: Christian Life Centre Auckland, after service (they sing a song upon exit.) About twice a month the choir sings with the worship team.
Another shot. I don't know who those guys in front of us are.
My Kapa Haka performance- I am on the right of the lady with glasses.
"Toia Mai," our welcome performance.
Performing "Hoki Hoki Tonu Mai" with our poi.
again...
Performing "Papaki Nui."
The guys do the Haka (war dance).
